Developing robust procedure, policy and guidance for smartphone security and training.
Purpose of the Project
As part of their mission to improve the safe use of digital technology in care services, Digital Social Care is calling on local councils, local care associations and informal groups of care providers to run a series of local digital projects focusing on finding practical solutions to some of the sector’s challenges.
For this project, Manor Community will work directly with local providers and support them with understanding how to improve safe use of technology and reach ‘Standards Met’ with the NHS Digital’s Data Security Protection Toolkit.
What is the NHS DSP toolkit?
The toolkit is tipped to be the main kitemark for NHS contracts and local authority tendering in social care over the next couple years. The Care Quality Commission
is also likely to use it as a signpost for a new Key Line of Enquiry.
It is a set of over 150 questions used to evidence the level of digital technology use, cyber security and data protection procedure within organisations.
